WINTER 2020

MORRISVILLE POST OFFICE - January 2020

Eight individual voices. Eight unique visions. Eight ways in which we see and interpret and create thru our cameras’ lenses.
For us - this is a new challenge. How might we create a harmonic symphony that honors each and every one of our sweet songs? Because it is winter and a season that is mostly black and white, we’ve chosen color as a them that unites.

Leonardo da Vinci was among the first to speak of how we see and perceive color. He argued that there are essentially four primaries - blue, yellow, red and green.

Many years later - Ewald Hering, a German color psychologist, took it one step further and came up with the ‘physiology of color perception’. He put the four colors together in a wheel and declared them ‘psychological primaries’. He argued that this is actually how our brain sees and perceives color sensation.

In these darkest…longest…coldest winter months - our hope is that you’ll stop and savor and enjoy, and when seen together - these colors will lift your spirits, warm your hearts, and fill your hearts with song.
